How many pallets on the floor of a container?

The EPAL Euro pallet measures 1,200 by 800 by 144 mm, according to the product sheet of the European Pallet Association, read on November 2, 2026. It weighs about 25 kg, and its safe working load is 1,500 kg. As the bottom pallet in a stack it may bear up to 5,500 kg, under the conditions on the sheet. It is built with 11 boards, 9 blocks and 78 nails. Those figures are the EPAL pallet’s only, and we make no claim about other pallets of that size. The tool on this page counts how many of them fit on the floor you enter, and the sheet’s load figures apply under its own conditions. Ask a receiving warehouse whether it takes this size before you ship.

In a container

The first tool opens with this pallet and an example floor, and counts whole pallets in one orientation. Enter the inside size from your carrier. On a floor a little over 2,000 mm wide, one pallet each way takes 2,000 mm across, so a mixed pattern can fill the width better than either single orientation. Ask for a load plan to get the most from it.

How many Euro pallets fit on a truck in Europe?

We cover US-bound freight here, and did not verify European trailer sizes for this page. The arithmetic stays the same: divide the inside length and width by the pallet’s measures. The second tool on the pallet calculator page lets you enter any inside size. Ask your European carrier for its trailer’s inside measures, then run the count with those numbers rather than a general one.

Will a US warehouse accept Euro pallets?

We have no official source on that, and it depends on each warehouse, so ask yours. Give it the size from EPAL’s sheet, 1,200 by 800 mm, and the height of the loaded pallet. If your goods are bound for a retailer, ask whether it has its own rules for receiving goods, before you agree on packaging with your supplier and book the shipment.

Is the EPAL sheet the only source for these figures?

It is the only one we read for this pallet. Its legal notice says its website content falls under German copyright, and any use that the law does not permit needs written consent. So we give a few measures as facts, in our own table, with a link to the sheet. Read the sheet itself before you rely on a figure, as it has conditions we do not repeat.
